We have a clinical team of 12 Doctors, 1 Advanced Care Practitioner, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 Health Care Assistants and 2 Clinical Pharmacists, who are supported by the care navigator team, secretaries, pharmacy technicians and administration staff to ensure our patients receive safe, high quality care.
We have a focus on education and training as an approved training practice for doctors who aspire to become GPs. We are also an award winning teaching practice for undergraduate medical students and have close links with University of The Leeds Medical School.
Our aim is to create a warm and caring environment in which to provide effective, high quality health care services which meet the needs of our patients. We are a forward thinking practice, involved in the development of shared services and working practices that will support new models of care and the provision of quality primary care in the coming years.
The partners work as a non limited partnership providing essential, additional and enhanced services under the General Medical NHS contract to patients who live within our area and who choose to register with us. The partnership holds a contract with NHS Yorkshire & Humber.
GP EARNINGS
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in The Spa Surgery in the last financial year [2022/23] was £40,880 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 1 full time GPs and 13 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
